Board of Trustees

Austin Center for Photography is no small undertaking. The following people make up the present Board of Trustees. 

The ACP board is a "working" board. Each person brings a unique talent or skill, and together we are building something new and exciting for Austin. Therefore, the board is dynamic and additional members will be added as time goes on. If you'd like to be considered for the board, contact us. We are looking for individuals who share our vision and who can share their time and know-how to help ACP grow.

Elizabeth ChilesELIZABETH CHILES – An artist, educator, and former gallerist, Elizabeth has exhibited her work at the Austin Museum of Art, John Cleary Gallery, the Chelsea Art Museum and many other venues. Elizabeth worked with Barbara Krakow Gallery early in her career, and was the Associate Director of Fraenkel Gallery, San Francisco and of Lora Reynolds Gallery, Austin. She is currently a professor of art at the University of Texas, Austin and Texas State University. Elizabeth's web site.

 

Lesley NowlinVICTORIA CORCORAN NEAL – Victoria spent 15 years in the contemporary art business, most notably serving as the founding Program Director of the McKinney Avenue Contemporary, and establishing the Second Saturday lecture series for Dallas Artists Research and Exhibitions.  She the president of Corcoran & Co., a fundraising consulting firm based in Austin. Victoria's web site.

Donna De CesareDONNA DE CESARE – Recipient of numerous major awards and fellowships, documentary photographer Donna is widely known for her groundbreaking work on the spread of Los Angeles gangs in Central America. In addition to teaching in the School of Journalism at the UT Austin, Donna lectures at conferences, conducts workshops, judges international contests and continues to work on projects for publication and for national and international exhibitions. Jasmine DeFooreJASMINE DEFOORE – Jasmine is a photo editor and marketing consultant. She works with individual photographers as well as companies to create memorable photography-rich projects, including magazines, books, websites, apps and more. Jasmine's web site.
 

 

John LangmoreJOHN LANGMORE – John comes to photography naturally – his father Bank a groundbreaking photographer of the American West and his mother opening the Langmore Photographic Studio in San Antonio, now run by his brother and sister. While working as a business executive and lawyer, John is involved on a number of photographic projects including a long-term documentation of the changing neighborhoods east of I-35 in Austin. Jerry SullivanJERRY SULLIVAN – Jerry is the founder of Precision Camera and Video established in Austin in 1976, and he also managed the Austin Photographic Gallery which exhibited many famous and promising photographers. The son of a photographer turned businessman, Jerry continued his interest in travel and photography with degrees from The University of Texas at Austin and Austin Community College.

Lesley NowlinPEGGY WEISS – Peggy and her husband founded Jeffrey's Restaurant, and later, Shoreline Grill, Cipollina and O's Campus Cafe. For the past several years, Peggy has turned her attention to photography and collage. Her work was recently acquired by the Harry Ransom Center Photography Collection and has been shown in numerous galleries around the country. Peggy's web site.
